COLLEGE STATION- CardioQuip celebrated its first annual World Intern day July 25th at the site of their new headquarters. Good food, games, awards, and even the R&D pinata highlighted the days events. With summer winding down, and unseasonably cool(ish) weather, a great time was had by all.

This summer marked CardioQuip’s first class of interns from nearby Texas A&M University. A total of five interns specialized their study in CardioQuip’s R&D, Quality, and Sales departments.

CardioQuip is extremely grateful for the opportunity to host such hard working, bright, and energetic students. We believe the future is bright, and we wish our fabulous interns all the best in their endeavors! Thanks, and Gig ‘Em!

CardioQuip Breaks Ground on New Headquarters

COLLEGE STATION—CardioQuip, the leading U.S. manufacturer of cooler-heater medical devices, held the official groundbreaking ceremony for its new headquarters on February 14, 2019. Located on Calibration Court in Aggieland Business Park, the 10,322 square foot building will feature more than 40 workspaces on 2.2 acres of land. CardioQuip’s new headquarters more than triples their current space located in Bryan, providing necessary space to support the company’s newfound growth.

Founded in 2003 in Bryan, Texas, CardioQuip began as a two-person medical device refurbishing company. Initially, they refurbished, serviced, and re-sold cardiovascular medical devices to customers in the U.S. After many miles of travel and years of conversations with medical professionals, CardioQuip developed their first cooler heater in 2011. This device, the MCH-1000, is used to regulate patient temperature in open heart surgery, life support, and other various medical applications.

After seven years on the market, CardioQuip has become the leading U.S. manufacturer of cooler-heaters, with devices in all 50 states. In that time, they have grown from a team of 3 to 20. Founders Doug Platt and Allen Pate chose the Brazos Valley for CardioQuip’s new headquarters for its business-friendly environment, proximity to the world-class resources of Texas A&M, and central location to major markets in Texas.

"We have loved working and living in the Brazos Valley since our inception," says founder Doug Platt. "This community has been a great place to build a business and more importantly to raise a family. Our team is very excited to be moving into the Aggieland Business Park at such an exciting time of growth there."

The new headquarters is scheduled to be opened up in late fall 2019
